"Network Transmissions" is a collection of tracks commissioned by labels in New Zealand and Norway. Some of these have since been released (Impressions Of U Got The Look appeared on SHUTUPALREADYDAMN! Celebrate Psi Phenomenon's collections of experimental artists doing impressionistic peices inspired by Prince songs was released prior to the creation of this collection) and all of Root Don Lonie's 8" lathe release "Well Sung Woes" appears here along with some other tracks recorded for Root but not used to date and a track recorded for a compilation on Norway's Humbug imprint that has yet to be released.

"Network Transmissions" was only made available on CD-R in the edition of 9 copies deluxe "Nul" boxed set which combined "Nul" (with 2 additional CD's of drones), all of Clarinette's prior work ("Haze", "Transmuting Fall" & Little Fluttery Screamy Thing") plus "Network Transmissions" (the set was packaged in a hand painted cigar box with a small canvas painting of the Nul cover and several handpainted dummy clear CD's).

Clarinette began making tapes for broadcast on KPFA's "Assassinatin' Rhythm" in the mid-80's, in time the project went dormant until some tapes were found in 1999. One of those tapes made it to Sonic Youth's Thurston Moore who asked to release an LP. Tapes from those early years along with newly recorded material were released in 2002 as Haze.
